Media Center

Mission 

The Cornelia Elementary media center goal is to build a foundation for lifelong learning through information literacy.  We provide print and non-print materials to support and reinforce learning for all students.  Students have access to information, ideas, and resources for learning. 

Media Center Hours and Visits

The media center is open 7:30 - 3:30 during regular school days.

The media center operates a flexible schedule that allows access for both teachers and students to visit. Students are allowed to visit the media center daily.  Student checkout is from 8:00 until 2:30.  Classrooms visit the media center for whole group media instruction and research.  Students in kindergarten through first grade are allowed to check out one book at a time. Students in second through fifth grades may check out two books at a time. Students may keep books for up to two weeks.
